Choices

Assalamualaikum!
halooooo people! :D

Okay, breaks really kill me. Plus, there will be no school after this. So, what should I do?? I have packed all my books and for sure, I will not open it in this ‘waiting’ period. I’m afraid I’ll suffer break down. Huarghh! So, I decide to share some knowledge from my reading. Actually, I’ve done this topic before in my trial essay. But here, I’ve edited it a bit and add some more bullets for you. :)

Choices and options, basically it is the same thing. We never can get away from it. It is spice of life. Facing with options really drives me crazy. It makes me suffer headache because I, and surely, everyone, want to choose the best and never want to regret the choices we’ve made afterwards. But when you are in desperate situation and the time not allow you to sit back and relax to think, all the choices seems right to you. And because of that, without proper way of dealing with options, you might take a wrong decision.

Some people might say that it is okay for us to be wrong sometimes, but for me, while we’re given a brain to think and with some knowledge that Allah gives you, why don’t you decide the right thing? Yes, it is true we are not perfect, blablabla.. But I think it is right to say it when you have tried your best and still, you failed to achieve what you expect. Don’t you realise how choices can determine your future? For example, you choose to be a robber instead of banker; you are changing your life! Okay, I know I’ve made CHOICES sounds creepier than you ever thought. So, how to deal with it?

First of all, before you choose something, try to think how it will affect your life? Think how it will bring good and bad for you. Follow your instinct, some people say. But do instinct tells you what to do or what you should do? Can you tell that your instinct not affected by your emotion? Okay peeps; I can’t deny ‘follow your heart’ thing. But it is for the last way to choose. By following your heart, you will be satisfied to whatever circumstances wait for you in front. But the first step you should do is, list out the pro’s and cons for each of your choices. From there, you will see which one is the best for you.

Next, think about how your decision will affect your love ones, especially your family because they are always comes first. Your choices maybe can make you happy, but do they? Can you be happy on other people sufferings? If you are selfish type of person, alright then, you can leave this step behind. But if you are not, so here’s what you can do. Sit down and have a really nice conversation with your family. Don’t rush to the point but explain your situations and state the choices you are given. Then, tell them which choices you are more into and ask for their opinion. It is okay if their opinion is completely different from yours. Try to open your mind and think rationally. Don’t think that there should be only one people that are right. It can be two people with right opinion. So, absorb it and reconsider. Then, add this to your list.

Have you reached a point which you start acting like an insane person? Hahaha. :D alright, you still cannot make up your mind? This is because you’ve missed this point, seek from THE GREATEST.
yeah.. of course, you shouldn’t leave this point. He is The Greatest, He knows everything. Both your physically and mentally. He knows what is good for you. He decides everything. So, for Muslims, we have two rakaat ‘istikharah’ prayer. It is always work out very very well! Istikharah prayer is when you leave all good and bad to Allah after dealing with choices.  Never doubted istikharah because after doing it, Allah will enlighten the right path for you in many ways. It can be from dreams, a relaxing state of mind or also when your heart feels more into one decision and you feel happy with it. :)

Okay, so I rest my case. Here I had given you some steps to choose. For me, it works out in some situation. For you, I guess you have to try it for yourself then. :)
hmm, some people hate choices. For them, it drives them crazy and forces them to choose in between. I don’t think it is completely true. In some situation, pick one is not the answer. Perhaps, you can combine it or forget all the options and try to sort things out in a better way. Choices and options also are not bad thing could ever happen to you. You may not realise but the way you’re dealing with it can change your state of mind. Plus, taking risk in choosing let you discover what you don’t know and make you think outside the box. Choosing something might cost you tears but we are human beings with limited thoughts, we never know what tomorrow brings. So, just be happy with it as you have tried your best to choose the best for you and others.

I hope this tips will be helpful to you, not much but a bit will be enough for me. Leave your comments and suggestions below. :)
